A SKETCH OF THE WEST COAST OF FLORIDA FROM TAMPA BAY TO THE WITLACOOCHE RIVER, JULY 1836. This coastal survey was done too far out in the Gulf of Mexico to pick up the rivers of the great springs of Homosassa, Crystal, and Weekiwachee and was therefore of limited use. The names of the Keys off the Pinellas Peninsula shown on this map are from contemporary naval officers. This is the only map showing this unique naming.
